Over the next two months our existing public computer equipment is being replaced, with a new management software onboard. The homepage will look different to the one you are used to seeing.
You’ll be able to login to the pcs
using either your library card details or a guest pass – and the new pass makes it easier to login. You no longer have to enter a PIN, and you can get a new pass every day.Audio listening will also be enhanced – you can use your own headphones if they have a regular audio jack or USB connection.
Also a bonus is that it’s easier to print documents.
Once you’ve logged in you can access your email, browse or search the internet using Google Chrome. Just like our current pcs, you can edit word documents, spreadsheets and presentations, but they will open in OnlyOffice. If you have a personal Microsoft 360 license, you will be able to use that online software.
We hope you enjoy using the new equipment. If you need any help there will be guides available on-screen – alternatively just ask library staff member, they will be happy to assist.
